According to multiple sources, the MG7 has been imported into Vietnam and is currently in the process of completing the necessary paperwork.

The MG7 is a Chinese car model that has garnered significant interest recently. There have been numerous reports about its imminent launch, but so far, these have remained rumors. According to an internal source, the MG7 has indeed been imported into Vietnam and is currently undergoing the completion of the required documentation.

This source also revealed that there are plans for the MG7 to be launched in Vietnam. The plan is to introduce this Chinese car model to the media and domestic customers by the end of August 2024. Additionally, many dealerships have disclosed that MG Vietnam will conduct internal product training sessions early next month. This aligns perfectly with the necessary steps before launching a new car model.

Currently, detailed technical specifications of the car have not been disclosed. In China, the MG7 measures 4,884 mm in length and 1,889 mm in width, comparable to D-segment cars such as the Toyota Camry, Kia K5, Mazda6, and Honda Accord.

It is predicted that the MG7 will come in two versions: the standard MG7 Std and the higher-end MG7 Lux, similar to other models from the brand. In some markets, the car comes with two engine options: a 1.5L engine with 183 horsepower paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission, and a 2.0L gasoline engine with 254 horsepower paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Regarding pricing, experts believe that the MG7 will follow a similar pricing strategy as other MG models in Vietnam. Currently, the MG5 is in the C-segment but is priced similarly to B-segment cars. Following this approach, the MG7, which belongs to the D-segment, is expected to be priced similarly to C-segment cars, around 700-800 million VND depending on the version.
