Rolls-Royce in the next 4 years: Electric SUV below the Cullinan, electric sedan replacing the Phantom, and the V12 engine retained
Rolls-Royce will introduce several high-quality models from now until the end of the decade, with the most notable being a new SUV positioned below the Cullinan.
Rolls-Royce, the world’s leading ultra-luxury car brand, has unveiled its future vehicle launch plans. From now until 2030, the company will upgrade existing models and introduce several new ones. Initially, Rolls-Royce will expand its electric vehicle lineup, adding a new SUV beneath the Cullinan, slated for release in "early 2027," alongside the Spectre.
It remains unclear if the new SUV will share the same powertrain as the Spectre. However, with the launch still more than two years away, it’s likely that this model will feature upgraded batteries and motors compared to the current Spectre.
Following this electric SUV, Rolls-Royce plans to release a fully electric sedan by late 2028. This sedan will play a crucial role for the British brand, as it is set to replace the Phantom, one of Rolls-Royce's flagship models.
A notable aspect of Rolls-Royce’s strategy is that while focusing on electric vehicles, the company will continue to sell traditional combustion engine cars. Their iconic V12 engine will remain in the Cullinan until 2030. Although no concrete plans have been revealed for replacing this engine after that period, Rolls-Royce may still pursue a "fully electric future" after 2030.
Finally, Rolls-Royce’s first electric model, the Spectre, is set for an upgrade in 2027. While specific details haven’t been shared, the upgrades are expected to focus on performance (with a slight increase), convenience and connectivity technologies (updated to the latest version), and features (either upgraded or newly added).
