The 2024 Honda Civic is set to debut in Vietnam: Adds new color similar to the CR-V, first-time front/rear sensors, hybrid version equipped with many premium features
According to information from multiple dealerships, the 2024 Honda Civic will introduce a new blue color similar to the CR-V, and all versions will come equipped with front and rear parking sensors. Notably, the e:HEV version will receive several notable feature upgrades.
Official dealerships have been accepting pre-orders for the 2024 Honda Civic since August in Vietnam. Sales consultants now report that the model will include several new features appearing for the first time.
Most notably, for the first time, all 2024 Civic versions will be equipped with parking sensors. Specifically, the car will have a total of 8 sensors, with 4 in the front and 4 in the rear. This addresses a previous shortcoming that many customers had complained about in earlier Civic models.
In addition, the Civic e:HEV will receive several premium upgrades. First, it will come in a new color, Canyon River Blue, similar to the blue shade offered on the Honda CR-V sold in Vietnam. The Civic RS will be available in white, black, red, and gray, while the Civic G will be offered in black, white, and gray.
The Civic e:HEV will also feature an Individual driving mode (customizable) like the one found in the Civic Type R, along with three other driving modes: Econ (economy), Normal, and Sport. Additionally, this version will come with a spare tire, whereas the CR-V e:HEV lacks both a spare tire and an Individual driving mode. Finally, the Civic e:HEV will be equipped with a premium Bose sound system with 12 speakers.
Honda Vietnam has confirmed that the 2024 Civic will come with two engine options, with the standout being the first hybrid engine option in Vietnam. The Civic e:HEV RS will use a 2.0L gasoline engine paired with an electric motor, delivering 200 horsepower and 315Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Civic RS and Civic L versions will continue using the 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 176 horsepower and 240Nm of torque.
All three versions will come equipped with the Honda Sensing safety technology package, which includes systems like Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Auto High Beam (AHB), Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow (ACC with LSF), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Lead Car Departure Notification (LDN).
