The lineup of cars set to launch in the Vietnamese market in early 2025
At the beginning of 2025, the Vietnamese car market is expected to welcome a variety of new models, most of which will be produced by Chinese manufacturers.
New Audi A6
The facelifted version of the Audi A6, introduced in mid-December, will officially be available in Vietnam in early 2025. The car will be sold with the S line 40 TFSI configuration, priced from VND 2.299 billion.
The 2025 Audi A6 is imported directly from Germany. In Vietnam, this sedan will compete with rivals like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW Series 5, and Lexus ES.
The new version of the Audi A6 has improvements in both exterior and interior design, giving it a more sporty and modern look. In terms of performance, it features a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine, producing 190 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, supported by mild-hybrid technology. The engine is paired with a 7-speed S tronic transmission.
MG G50
After its debut at the 2024 Vietnam Motor Show (VMS), the MG G50 is expected to be launched in early 2025. This model is positioned in the mid-size MPV segment, with its size between the Toyota Innova Cross and Hyundai Custin.
An MG dealership in Hanoi has stated that the G50 will offer two options: a 7-seater and an 8-seater. The car is equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine, producing 168 horsepower and 285 Nm of torque. The lower version comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the higher trim features a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
According to some sources, the expected price of the G50 ranges from VND 550 million to VND 650 million, which is considered a key factor in helping the car compete in the mid-size MPV segment, especially targeting customers who purchase cars for service use.
Jaecoo J7
Following the Omoda C5, Omoda & Jaecoo brand is expected to introduce the Jaecoo J7 in Vietnam in early 2025. This model is positioned in the C-segment SUV category, competing with rivals like the Mazda CX-5, Honda CR-V, and Ford Territory.
The Jaecoo J7 features a 1.6L turbocharged engine, producing a maximum of 197 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. It comes with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission and offers the option of either front-wheel drive or full-time all-wheel drive (AWD).
Additionally, the J7 also offers a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version. Currently, the pricing and version details of the Jaecoo J7 in Vietnam have not been announced.
Haval Jolion
Although it has been available at dealerships since November, the official launch date of the Haval Jolion is still yet to be confirmed, and the car is expected to be sold in early 2025.
Earlier, some sources indicated that the Haval Jolion will be available in two versions: Pro and Ultra, with an expected price of VND 736 million and VND 779 million, respectively.
The Haval Jolion belongs to the B+ SUV segment and is available with a single hybrid engine option, combining a 1.5L petrol engine with an electric motor, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The system delivers a total output of 190 horsepower and 375 Nm of torque.
Geely Coolray
In December, Geely Auto's director announced the export of 200 Proton X50 SUVs manufactured in Malaysia to Vietnam. When it arrives in Vietnam, the model is expected to be rebranded as the Geely Coolray.
The Geely Coolray is classified in the B-segment SUV category, a highly competitive segment in Vietnam with popular models like the Mitsubishi Xforce, Toyota Yaris Cross, Hyundai Creta, and Honda HR-V. The car is equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged engine, producing a maximum of 175 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
