Volvo XC60 2026 debuts: Features an 11.2-inch screen, twice the performance smoothness of the current version in Vietnam, with a design inspired by the XC90

The 2026 Volvo XC60 receives design and equipment upgrades, but it is likely to take a long time before reaching Vietnam.

The XC60 has been Volvo’s best-selling model worldwide since its debut in 2017. Although it may not attract as much attention as the upcoming EX30, XC90, or EX60, the XC60 still receives notable upgrades to maintain its status as Volvo’s top-selling vehicle.

The last update for the Volvo XC60 came in 2021, introducing a new grille, wheels, color options, and an improved infotainment system. The 2026 model follows a similar upgrade path, retaining its familiar design while incorporating several important enhancements inside.

Although the 2026 XC60 is set to debut in early 2025, based on the usual timeline, it typically takes about six months before the model is officially introduced and distributed in its first market. As a result, the timeline for the Volvo XC60 2026 to arrive in Vietnam is expected to be even longer.

On the exterior, the most noticeable change on the 2026 XC60 is its new grille, inspired by the design introduced on the XC90 last year. The simple vertical slats have been replaced with densely packed diagonal lines that overlap, creating a striking visual effect that some might even find reminiscent of BMW’s styling.

Additionally, the vehicle features darker-tinted taillights, newly designed wheels, and three new paint color options: Forest Lake, Aurora Silver, and Mulberry Red.

Inside the cabin, the 2026 Volvo XC60 incorporates new materials to enhance luxury while maintaining an eco-friendly approach. This version features Quilted Nordico and Navy Herringbone Weave upholstery, an improved wireless phone charger, and a redesigned cup holder.

However, the most significant highlight in the interior is the new infotainment screen. Its size increases from 9 inches to 11.2 inches, with a higher pixel density for sharper visuals. The system is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit platform, which Volvo claims makes it twice as fast as the previous version and ten times faster in rendering graphics.

Not only the XC60, but Volvo is expected to roll out similar upgrades across its entire lineup this year, including higher-quality displays and expanded Google services integration.

Volvo does not appear to have altered the powertrain of the 2026 XC60, meaning the familiar engine options remain available. The B5 variant continues to use a 2.0L mild hybrid four-cylinder engine producing 247 horsepower, while the more powerful T8 PHEV variant delivers 455 horsepower.

In Europe, the model also offers an additional plug-in hybrid option with slightly lower output—the T6 version with 345 horsepower. Pricing details for the 2026 Volvo XC60 will be announced closer to its launch date.
