On July 29, the authorities in Dong Nai province continued to coordinate with the Bien Hoa City police to investigate the traffic accident involving a train and a pickup truck at the railway crossing with Pham Van Thuan Street (bordering Tan Tien and Thong Nhat wards, Bien Hoa City), which caused 2 deaths and 3 injuries.

According to information from the Labor Newspaper, the authorities have identified the two deceased victims in the railway traffic accident on Pham Van Thuan Street (bordering Tan Tien and Thong Nhat wards, Bien Hoa City) on the evening of July 28 as L.M.T. (23 years old, a sanitation worker, residing in Binh Duong province) and N.V.N. (13 years old, residing in Bien Hoa City).

Additionally, three others were injured, including V.V.K. (49 years old, pickup truck driver), M.P.P. (42 years old), and N.T.U. (55 years old).

Concerning the health status of the injured victims, according to information from Tuoi Tre Online, a representative from Dong Nai General Hospital confirmed they are treating two patients from the train collision incident.

Patient V.V.K. was admitted to the hospital at 22:17 on July 28, in a conscious state, responsive, with superficial soft tissue injuries on the face, a left shoulder injury, and right ankle pain. The doctors conducted initial emergency tests, performed a CT scan of the brain, X-rayed the leg, and sutured the facial wound. The blood alcohol level was 0, and the patient tested negative for drugs.

The patient was transferred to the orthopedic department with diagnoses of a fractured left clavicle, a fracture of the outer ankle on the right foot, and soft tissue injuries on the face.

Approximately 40 minutes later, patient N.T.U. was admitted in a drowsy state, with facial injuries. The patient was immediately given first aid, intubated, had wounds sutured, and underwent initial emergency tests.

The CT scan results showed brain contusions and a subdural hematoma. The patient is currently still on a ventilator and has been transferred to the neurosurgery department for further treatment.

Patient M.P.P. went to Hoan My ITO Dong Nai Hospital (Bien Hoa City) for treatment. The initial diagnosis showed only minor scratches, and after treatment, the patient was discharged.

Earlier, at around 20:40 on July 28, train SNT5, driven by engineer D.H.H. (33 years old, residing in Thanh Hoa province), traveling in a north-south direction, collided with a pickup truck with license plate 60C-597.05 at the level crossing Km1696 + 458 with Pham Van Thuan Street, driven by V.V.K. (49 years old, residing in Bien Hoa City), coming from an alley (without a barrier, in Tan Tien ward) along the railway.

At that time, there were four people in the pickup truck: V.V.K., M.P.P. (42 years old), N.V.N. (13 years old), and N.T.U. (55 years old). Due to the strong impact from the train, the pickup truck was thrown into a garbage truck right in front of the entrance to alleys 1613 and 1615 (Quarter 3, Thong Nhat ward).

The result was that L.M.T. (23 years old, sanitation worker) and N.V.N. died on the spot. The remaining three people in the pickup truck were taken to the hospital by locals.

A witness to the accident recounted: "I saw the car being hit hard by the train, thrown into the nearby garbage truck, and hit a sanitation worker. Everyone in the car was thrown out, and there was a boy who died."

Upon receiving the report, the Bien Hoa City police and Dong Nai provincial police were present at the scene to investigate and clarify the incident.
